Sewing for your dog can be so rewarding. Our Chihuahua Benjamin is always so grateful for all his new dog quilts and toys. And I have to admit it...I just love all the attention Benny gets when we take him out all dressed up. My mother and I went to Petsmart the other day to register Benjamin for his training classes. He sat up all proud in his quilted shopping cart cover while wearing his new Valentines Day harness/vest. People were just drawn to him. We must have had 10 people ask us "Where did you buy that adorable vest? "Where did you buy that shopping cart cover?" You can buy some cute stuff in the stores for dogs, but the sizes are limited and so are the fabric selections. And...all the dogs are wearing the same thing. When you sew your own dog clothing and gear people notice because it made from unique fabrics, fits your dog well and it is a one-of-a-kind item. BBR (Before Benjamin Ray) I could not understand why people would dress up their small dogs and mother them like little babies. Now I understand. We dress up small dogs for several reasons: Comfort: Small dogs get cold so they need to wear clothing and have warm bedding and dog quilts to stay warm. Fashion and Style: If you are going to dress your dog up why not do it in style. When you sew your own dog clothing and dog accessories you can make them match with current fashion trends. I hope you enjoy sewing the patterns from our new small dog sewing patterns line, if you have any questions about any of our patterns you can email me at allisonray@gmail.com.
